About the Conference

LAWASIA in association with the Mongolian Bar Association is proud to present the 33rd LAWASIA Conference being held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 7 to 10 September 2020.

The Annual Conference is LAWASIA’s flagship event and the highlight of its professional events program. The Conference is a must attend event for all practitioners looking to adopt groundbreaking business practices to maximise their competitive edge. The Annual Conference is designed to facilitate the discussion of regional developments in law, including issues such as crossborder business and investment law, cross-border dispute resolution, judicial practice and legal education.

The Annual Conference also serves as an important forum for sharing ideas, building professional networks, reinforcing shared professional values, advocating for the rule of law in varied jurisdictions, and advancing the status of the legal profession in the Asia Pacific.

If Mongolia’s yin is its pristine countryside, then its capital Ulaanbaatar (UB) harmonises as its vibrant yang, UB is a sprawling, industrialised city of pulsating commerce, wild traffic, nightlife and bohemian counterculture. Mongolia in September (autumn) has nature at its best, full of colourful landscapes and spectacular natural habitats.
